COVID 19 & TELEMEDICINE UPDATE

We do hope you and your family are doing everything to stay healthy. As we get new information, we are continually trying to stay up to date with current local health official recommendations and guidelines. We are also taking precautions to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff. We are all going through uncertain and challenging times. But please be assured that your health, and safety remain very important to us. We appreciate your cooperation. Here are some new safety policies and procedures we have implemented:

  1. We will triage all calls for coronavirus concerns.

  2. If you have had close contact with a suspect or laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 patient, or who have a history of travel within the last 14 days, please do not come to the office. Please call and you will be given instructions via phone.

  3. Any patients with fever, cough and shortness of breath, and concern for coronavirus, please do not come to the office. We do not have COVID-19 testing capabilities at this time. You will be given instructions on where you may go to get tested.

  4. If you have mild respiratory symptoms that do not warrant urgent care, please stay at home for 14 days and monitor. We can also schedule a Telemedicine visit where one of our providers can examine your child through a secure video chat.

  5. We highly encourage social distancing during the next few weeks to prevent the spread, as well as frequent hand washing/ sanitizing, and avoid touching your face. This includes, not coming to the office unless extremely necessary.

  6. We ask that all families sanitize upon entering our facility, upon entering the exam room, and upon leaving the exam room. We request that only one parent / guardian come in with the Child for the visit.

  7. We may be wearing masks when needed. We have removed magazines, books, and toys from waiting areas and exam rooms.

  8. We are trying to schedule well visits for early morning time slots and sick visits (only those that absolutely need to be checked) for late afternoon and encourage parents to opt for the Telemedicine visits as much as possible.

  9. For all patients, we ask that you wait in your car when you arrive and call us to check in. Once a room is ready, we will take you directly to the exam room. We have well check visit patients come through the front door, and the patients coming in for sick visits, through the side door.

  10. We will sanitize and wipe down waiting areas regularly and exam rooms after every patient. Thank you!
